One reason that we absolutely love backyard weddings is that so much laughter and love can be shared in the place that you literally call home. Plus, choosing to have a backyard wedding often allows you to incorporate meaningful elements. The couple was able to customize every detail of their day, while the location itself held personal memories. Hosting the wedding at their family’s house was perfect for Megan and Tommy because they both love their families dearly.
Megan is one of the most thoughtful brides we have met, and her relationship with Tommy is truly endearing. For example, Megan dried the flower bouquets from Tommy when he asked her to be his girlfriend and to marry him. Then, she asked us to incorporate the dried flowers into a few detail shots on the wedding day. It was the sweetest, most sentimental surprise. Everything about this little nostalgic touch made our hearts melt. Also, Megan wore the veil that both her mom and grandma wore on their wedding days. A tradition that will be cherished for generations!
After this gallery, we don’t think there will be much convincing left to do about the beauty of backyard weddings. The sentimental value is undeniable. And florals really can make a space come to life. Most importantly, Megan and Tommy had the best time celebrating with their beloved guests.
