Covid has certainly threw a lot of wrenches into people’s wedding plans for 2020, but Lauren and Dave committed to love at this sunrise elopement in washington dc. It had poured up until about an hour before sunrise, and the wind was whipping, but these two were ready to make their love official, regardless of rain or wind.

Lauren and Dave met at UF. At first they didn’t know each other well, but Lauren had a lot of friends in Dave’s fraternity. Their paths crossed often so they were very much aware of each other. In 2016, their friends in DC set them up. But it didn’t take them long to be so familiar with each other since they had had so many mutual friends! Lauren says that they had so many “small world” connections that it felt like they had really known each other forever.

Lauren and Dave have had to cancel their wedding 2 times due to Covid. But they both admitted to just being ready, because their love is a done deal. They absolutely love each other, so it was time for a sunrise elopement in washington DC, to make it happen!

Dave admits to falling in love with Lauren the FIRST day he met her. He says his love for her grows every single day. He says that Lauren is so supportive, even on his off days. She encourages him in everything that makes Dave, Dave. And he absolutely loves her intelligence and the way their personalities complement each other.

Lauren tried to pinpoint a time where she knew she was in love, but honestly feels as though there has never been a time where she WASN’T in love. Dave is Lauren’s home, her safe and happy place. She has never had a doubt in her mind that they weren’t destined life partners. Lauren is in love with Dave’s love for life. She loves how contagious his happiness is as he navigates through life and truly makes a positive impact on anyone he meets. She also loves how supportive he is and that he allows Lauren to be Lauren. (this is too sweet) And she also loves Dave’s intelligence. They both seem to have the exact same things they love about each other, which i think is a match made in heaven.
